Taking The Hewlett Packard Color LaserJet 3800n Printer For A Test Drive
Putting the HP Color LaserJet 3800n printer using LaserJet 3800n laser toners through its paces will reveal that Hewlett-Packard has produced an upgrade model to its popular 3800 series of printer products that are both laser jet and able to be easily networked. This model is a variation of the original 3800 printer, and it must be said that HP has given it a number of attributes that are an improvement over its sibling.
For starters, it has a Hewlett-Packard Jetdirect Fast Ethernet embedded print server, which is something the original 3800 doesn't have as standard equipment. Another standard feature of the 3800n is its 802.11 b/g wireless LAN, which is another optional feature with the 3800. The 3800n also comes to its purchaser network ready, which any IT specialist will surely appreciate.
Print speeds across the 3800 range of printers are excellent, with all able to produce product at over 22 ppm (pages per minute). In terms of the competition, this puts the Hewlett-Packard a couple of sheets per minute quicker than most. For a small or medium-sized network, this can be attractive. Print task times also are very nice, at under 12.5 seconds from task to output, as well.
Processing power is handled within the printer by a 533 MHz chip, which is standard processing speed among all 3800 printers. It will be able to easily take in any number of print tasks in a simultaneous manner and then prioritize them and produce them with little stuttering or any sort of hangups. Most workgroups will quickly come to appreciate this sort of versatility and functionality.
Durability is also the same with the 3800n as it is with all other 3800 models, coming in at 65,000 sheets in a 30-day period before requiring any sort of maintenance. Don't forget that all 3800s are laser jet, and required HP toner rather than a standard laser toner cartridge, meaning that the 3800 will require four separate printer cartridges (black, magenta, cyan and yellow).
All 3800 printers also feature print resolution that comes in at 600 dots per inch. For most workgroups, this should be enough to meet most any print task requirement. Pages that emerge will be crisp and clean, with little evidence of blurring or smudging. Additionally, the printer seems to be able to handle most any graphics-rich print job with effortless and stylish aplomb.
Every 3800 in the lineup comes with the same paper-carrying capability. All feature to standard paper trays, with the option to add a third when needed. 850 sheets of paper can be accommodated with little trouble, as well as 10 envelopes, though no 3800 comes with an automated envelope feeder, is really a very minor sticking point that is of no real concern, to be honest.
As far as memory goes, every 3800 also starts out their life with 160 MB of RAM that can be easily upgraded to 544 MB. This gives the HP Color LaserJet 3800n printer a formidable handling capability that will easily accommodate even the largest of print jobs. When looked at as a complete package, there are more than several positive attributes to a 3800 printer, including a decent price, which should make it fairly attractive to most businesses or workgroups.
Black yellow and red spiders in Florida?
I have these spiders in my front yard they are black yellow and red and really really big. I want to know what they are poisonous and what they are called.
Sounds like Nephila clavipes. They have a number of regional common names but are generally called the 'golden orb-web spider'. You can find lots of pictures at the link to make sure we are talking about the same animal.
They are not especially poisonous to humans but all spiders use venom on their (mostly insect) prey. You would have to work hard to get the spider to bite - they are pretty timid.
I think they are neat and fun to watch. If you look closely at the web, you can often see tiny silver spiders that steal prey caught in the larger spider's web. So cool !
