Family Tents Let You Experience Nature Without Sacrificing Comfort
You can’t really enjoy the spring and summer seasons if you don’t experience it outdoors, amidst the beauty of nature. Backpackers usually camp out to satisfy their wanderlust, and families usually set up tents so as to closely mimic a home environment in the wild. It’s nice to experience nature without compromising your comforts, as well as a few luxuries you can’t live without. A family-size camper tent may not be as detailed as a normal house, but in the wild it’s enough. If you believe that your trusty tent has seen better days, maybe it’s time to tuck it away and find a more dependable replacement.
Since portability isn’t much of an issue with family camping tents, you only need to pick out a design that maximizes space and offers more convenience. Cabin-style tents offer lots of legroom. With vertical walls and dividers, the space is optimized for occupants. They even have extendable awnings to cover kitchens and mess areas. The dome-style camping tent is a larger version of a backpacker’s tent. It’s built for durability in rough weather conditions, but the sloped dome restricts free movement from within. Screen rooms are perfect for pleasant weather conditions. The mesh walls keep the bugs out and offer more ventilation, but you won’t be protected from sudden downpours.
Tents with similar designs will often vary in price because some are made of durable materials that survive repeated use. If your kids can easily punch their way through a cardboard box, they’ll have a field day with the tent’s zippers. Your choice of tent camper should be based on how often you plan to use it.
The poles are sturdier if they’re made of aluminum instead of fiberglass, and the tent would last longer if it’s made from high-denier fabric, from the awning to the flooring. The zippers are probably the most important features of the tent as they are most prone to wear and tear. Choose reliable zipper brands like YKK if you want them to last. You’ll know which features you need if you regularly camp out with your family, and you can take advantage of any improvements to old features with the new models. Disposable houses really take a beating with successive use, so choose one that will last long enough for you to enjoy it.
Space blanket vented/mesh tarp?
Do any fellow working dog handler's know were I can get the silver space blanket - mesh type that lets air flow through.
