What Are Lanyards For?
Even if you think you don't know what name badge holders are you have actually seen them all over the globe but just didn't know what to call them. A lanyard is a necklace or strap often worn around the neck that is used to hold essential items such as nametags, eyeglasses, pens, cell phones and keys while keeping the hands free. lanyards are also sometimes worn around the wrist, leg or waist. Beaded lanyards are particularily wanted because of their fun and whimsical designs.
There are many uses for a beaded lanyard besides the colorful accessorizing and utilitarian purpose of holding items that need to be kept handy. It is also a commonly sold piece of fundraising jewelry, which serves the dual purpose of making money for the cause through the actual sale of and spreading the word about the cause when worn. But the most common area to find a lanyard of any type, beaded or not, is at a business or jobsite.
It is commonplace to locate beaded lanyards at organizations, schools, doctors offices special events, conventions and recreational facilities and/or activities. People already have to keep their keys, ID badges or other needed items on them at all times, but with a beaded lanyard this functional purpose is also an way to personalize your look. You can find lanyards in all kinds of different colors and types with various pieces of hardware joined at the bottom or center to hold a badge, whistle, pen, cell phone, coin purse, glasses or pretty much anything else.
A lanyard can be created from many different materials, including twine, cotton, nylon or polyester twill. Most people prefer the cord because it is the least expensive, while the strap type made from cotton, poly-twill or nylon is preferred for large businesses because it can be embossed with a company name or logo. This is also common for sport groups or other types of teams. In office environments, however, there is nothing like a beaded lanyard that wears more like jewelry than a required piece of office uniforms. Colorful, finely created beaded lanyards are perfect badge holders and eyeglass keepers.
Whether it is a piece of fundraising jewelry, an office accessory, a convention badge holder or sports team schwag, a lanyard is the perfect way to hold what you need to keep handy in a organized way.
Is it safe to use blue nylon rope in a Rat cage?
I would like to put some rope in for them to climb on - I can't find any hemp rope but I have some blue nylon rope. I was wondering if it is safe for my rats?
Thanks
No. The dye might be poisonous to them, the might eat it and stop them up and kill them. Id look for an acctualy rat climbing toy. Look at petsmart pet co or walmart (:
