I'm interested it sewing my own outdoor cushions, any advise?
FIrst of all, I'd like to give kudos to those of you who can sew! It is not a strong point for me.
However, I'm building an outdoor sectional for my front porch, and I'm thinking about also trying to sew my own cushions for it since they are so expensive to buy, and I cannot find plain white ones anywhere.
I was wondering what kind of padding should I use and What kind of cloth? I would like the cloth to be stain resistant and washer/dryer friendly. I guess it doesn't have to be super water resistant because they make a spray now to cover that. Also, do I need special thread? or a special type of stitch? (I have a sewing machine, but my husband knows it better than I do, ha ha)

Oh yea, I'm not doing anything fancy. I'm just wanting to build basic square cushions. My sectional can be taken apart to serve as individual seating. Nothing fancy
