Your Gazebo Helps Protect Patio Area
Substantial gazebos that are installed over a deck or patio area can be one of the easiest and best ways to expand the usable living area of your home. With a patio gazebo installed, sunny and hot zones around your home can be completely transformed into wonderful places where you and your family can relax and entertain in the shade. There are many families that even go so far as to call these spaces that are protected by a sun gazebo their second living room.

What large dog is right for my family?
I have a 3100 sq ft home with a large yard with part patio/deck. I prefer a dog that does not shed. It has to be good with kids 11+ and loyal. I would like a protective/guard dog that likes long walks and has a lot of energy. I will be out 5-6 hours a day the most. Any suggestions?
I prefer a dog that doesnt shed but I dont mind a dog that sheds a bit
Pit bulls are unpredictable but you may find one like that. Since your home is moderately large and you have a good sized yard I would recommend an American Bulldog. They are energetic, can be trained to guard, and good with kids(since the kids you have are 11+ any dog would be good with them) However since American Bulldogs are guard dogs they can be aggressive not just guarding and protective. If you are willing to give up on the protecting a lab would be the best choice. They are loyal, friendly, and love all outdoor activities. Labs make good watch dogs even though they are way to friendly to be protective. Almost all dogs shed and the ones that don't aren't active( usually poodle things)
German Shepherds are great dogs that are loyal and friendly like Labs and protective. Also good with older kids. German Shepherds shed more than American Bulldogs and Labs though. People have mentioned great danes which are good and big but like labs are too friendly to be guard dogs.
If you are lucky you could find a mutt with those traits.

P.S. I didn't list breeds that are rare and very hard to find cause there is no point to that.
