Amazing Comfort With Sleeping Bag
Come darkness and the chill breeze sends slight shivers. The insects buzz around. The dew settles and the air is damp. But if you have a sleeping bag with you, then it is not the time to worry but to enjoy the night. Sleeping bag has become an integral and important part of camping equipments. The sleeping bag is modeled on a blanket that is folded and which can be zipped up with you inside. It can be transported easily as your backpack once you fold it or roll it up and pack it into a sack.
Once packed, you can carry it around when out in the open spending a few days and nights. It comes in handy when you are traveling or trekking or hiking or camping. Sleeping bags combines comfort, security and warmth. The elongated rectangular sleeping bag is roomier. There is also the mummy shaped sleeping bag. It is open and broad at the shoulder end and tapers down to the legs which are enclosed. It is less spacious as compared to the rectangular sleeping bag.
The mummy bag is to be rolled unlike the rectangular sleeping bag which can be folded. The mummy bag offers more warmth and protection as it is enclosed. The marmot pinnacle review of a sleeping bag offers you light but spacious nylon micro fiber shell protective and warm sleeping bag. The insulation materials used commonly is the synthetic fills or down fills though wool and cotton too are used. Synthetic bags are good in wet conditions as it keeps most of the water away. As compared to the down fills, the synthetic bags are heavier but cheaper. The down fill bags are better at retaining heat.
Choose your sleeping bag on the basis of what weather condition one has to endure. Sleeping bags suits warm to cold climate. In summer days you can keep the sleeping bag unzipped. At night times when the mercury dips, you can zip it up. But if in extreme cold climate, you need to choose a sleeping bag that can withstand extremely low temperature. The synthetic fill bags are better suited in wet conditions as it keeps the moisture away from seeping inside. The down fill bags suits a dry climate. Check the price and compare prices.
I am a canadian wanting to drive in australia...are there any restrictions ?
Going to Australia for 4 months and am wanting to buy an old travel van and travel/sleep in it for awhile. What restrictions are there and has any one else here done this sort of thing ? What should I concern myself with besides general maintenance of the vehilcle I purchase ?
Remember, drive on the left side of the road... we are in the Metric system, the police are allright (so don't be obnoxious if u get pulled over [not like u are going to get pulled over right?]).
If u are in an old van try to keep away from city centres (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth CBD's) at peak hour, because that can be a nightmare if ur in a van (compared to no traffic).
Please just be familiar with some of the road rules. Ped X'ing's oh and if ur in suburbia and there is no speed signs the limit is 50 Kph.
Enjoy Australia, and visit Brisbane!
Canadian MP demands trick photography to disguise rampant Friday absenteeism in Parliament (Boing Boing)
A Canadian Conservative MP has asked for an end to medium-wide camera shots in
the broadcasts of Parliament on Friday afternoons. Fridays are when many MPs
travel to their home ridings (districts) and Parliament empties out. The
medium-wide shots used by Parliamentary broadcasts reveals a largely empty
House of Commons. Worried about how bad this [...]
